About our Woodrun Lodge #208...
Our suite is a 1,715 sq. ft. condominium in Woodrun Lodge on the slopes of Blackcomb Mountain, above Upper Village; truly a ski in and ski out facility. Woodrun Lodge is one of the few concrete and steel buildings in Whistler. At the end of a dead end street, it provides a quiet, peaceful setting, and affords many opportunities for seeing the popular Black bears of Whistler, which are celebrated with our décor.
It sleeps 6 comfortably, in 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, and offers all the comforts one would expect of a fine resort home. For your evenings' entertainment, there is a TV/DVD/CD home theatre surround sound system in the living room, a built in HD TV/DVD/CD entertainment center in the master bedroom, and televisions in the other two guest bedrooms. There is high-speed Internet access, a washer/dryer, dishwasher, convection oven, microwave, and a kitchen equipped to prepare a Thanksgiving feast.
It borders the Wizard Express Chair and Merlin's ski run, so the skiers are going right by the deck and the windows, which makes for a constantly changing view. The views to the west are of the mountains rising above the village.
The 1st guest bedroom has bunk beds, faces the ski run, and has a sliding glass door leading to the south deck facing the ski run. Guests here use the hall bathroom. The larger guest bedroom has a queen size bed, its own ensuite full bathroom, and a view of the outdoor hot tub and swimming pool. The Master bedroom has a queen size bed, stone fireplace, its own built in entertainment system, and an ensuite full bathroom. The view is of the outdoor hot tub and swimming pool to the east, and to the south are Merlin's run and Wizard Express chair.
In 2003 we completed a thorough remodel of the condominium, which included moving the living room fireplace to enhance our view of the ski run. With all the fine finishes, millwork, custom tile work, and furnishings, we are excited with the results, and we are renting to those who we feel would appreciate it as well.
